Here at Rusty’s we offer a range of services to suit riders of all experience levels at an affordable price in a safe and encouraging environment with a qualified instructor. I have been a specialist instructor for nervous riders for many years now and will help you find the joy in your riding again. My teaching has a focus on horse and rider biomechanics to help you have the safest possible position and allow the horse to work in an effective and correct manner. We love to help people to develop and learn effective groundwork skills for clear and consistent training. Calming signals are something we are passionate about sharing as it opens up lines of quiet and effective communication between horses and humans. We teach people the basics techniques right up to refinement of movement and love to share our passion for liberty play. We only use progressive techniques with a mixture of R+ and R- methods to help both handlers and horses build bonds and communicate clearly without use of any force. We are proud that all Rusty’s horses are ridden in bitless bridles and have been accepted by the World Bitless Association as an associate trainer. We have assisted many owners to convert their own horses into bitless bridles. Clients bringing their own horses are welcome to use whatever tack they and their horses are comfortable with as long as it is well fitted and used kindly. Our playground area is open to groups of 6-10 horses privately and we also regularly run our playdays for individuals to come and explore all the fun elements and learn to encourage relaxation and thinking skills in an supportive and positive environment. We have a large mixture of fixed and changeable elements to ensure that it’s a different and challenging course each time you visit.
