Bimbi Park is located near Cape Otway, the geographic center of the Great Ocean Walk and the Great Ocean Road, a region known for its breathtaking coastline, hidden bays, and gorgeous woodlands. It is protected from the wearing sounds of towns and vehicles by towering manna gums.
The word “bimbi” means “a site of many birds” in the local Aboriginal language, and the park’s bushland is filled with bird singing.
You may go scuba diving, fish off the cliffs and beaches, or see the famous Cape Otway Lighthouse, which was erected in 1848 to help mariners navigate the perilous Bass Strait. The outdoor theater in Bimbi Park is another special feature. Watch free feature films and shorts while watching animals from a chair outside under the stars.
