McCormacks Mountain Valley Trail Rides

Details

One of the earliest families to establish in the Merrijig region was the McCormack family, who have been raising cattle in the King Valley since 1900. The family still participates in the weekend-long cattle muster, which has been a family ritual for generations. You can see the amazing vistas for yourself from Craig’s Hut and Mount Stirling, and you can talk to Bruce about his time as one of the top riders in the The Man from Snowy River movies. Discover what it’s like to live as a family who musters cattle in this excerpt from Outback magazine. Check out the locations where parts of the Australian Outback Spectacular Show sequences featuring Cobie, Bruce, and Jack McCormack were shot.
